Glass Engraving

Particularly fine gifts can be created by laser engraving on glass. With the Rayjet you can engrave texts, logos and photos on glass. Typical applications are engravings on drinking glasses and bottles. The Rayjet is also suitable for engraving float and industrial glass.

Which glass types can be engraved with the Rayjet?

With the Rayjet you can engrave both hollow glass, such as beer mugs and wine glasses as well as float glass. This includes glass types such as automotive glass, mirrors, safety glass or laminated glass. In general, materials with low metal content are ideal for glass engraving, as areas containing metal particles cannot be engraved. Crystal glass with a high lead content, for example, is not suitable for laser engraving

Engraved glass without risk of breakage

Glass etching with a laser is a non-contact process, which, unlike mechanical engraving, does not require workpieces to be clamped down or secured. The process itself does not produce stresses in the glass, which significantly reduces the risk of glass breakage in fragile, round glasses.

Time savings of up to 80% compared to sandblasting

Glass engraving with the Rayjet does not require a template. You can engrave texts and images directly onto the glass, without having to prepare the material. As a result you save up to 80% of the processing time compared to engraving by sandblasting. Use this time to engrave the next order.

Optional rotary attachment available

For engraving cylindrical glasses, we recommend the use of a rotary attachment. It is connected to the laser software and can thus rotate the glass perfectly during the engraving process to ensure a precise and undistorted image on glass. More upgrades for the Rayjet along with the rotary attachment can be found here.

How does the Rayjet laser engraver work?

The Rayjet works in a similar way to an office printer. Send your engraving file directly from your usual graphics program to the laser. As soon as you have selected the type of material, you can start the laser engraving process. More information about the Rayjet laser can be found on the product page.
