Cutting and Engraving Acrylic
CO2 lasers such as the Rayjet are commonly used to cut and engrave acrylic items. Examples would include, backlit signs, retail displays, awards and decorations etc…A great advantage of laser processing is that the laser cut edges are very smooth a need little or no polishing afterwards.
When cutting acrylic, try to avoid back reflection, as much as possible. If the edge quality might not be satisfactory, this can be avoided by using the optional Rayjet cutting table with the laser system.
